What is EMDR therapy?
EMDR is a therapy that helps to process painful or traumatic memories. While you recall the memory, the psychologist guides alternating stimulation, most often eye movements. The acronym stands for "Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing".
Are sessions confidential?
Yes. The psychologist is bound by professional confidentiality: what you say in a session stays between you.
How long is a session?
It depends on the service: 1 hour for an individual consultation or a psychoeducation session, 1 hour 30 for an EMDR therapy session or a group session, 30 minutes for a relaxation session.
Can sessions take place by video call?
Yes. You choose the format, at the practice or by video call, when you request your appointment.
Can I cancel or reschedule an appointment?
